End of year reports
A reminder to families that end of year reports will be distributed on Friday 16 December.
The report will show your child’s learning achievement on a 9-point visual scale which replaces A-E ratings for students in Prep to Year 10.
The 9-point scale shows more specifically where your child’s learning achievement is against the expected standard for their year level.
There will be no teacher comments on the report.
For more information about the changes to reports:
1-2A have planned an excursion to meet the residents at Eliza Purton Home. After discussing the path that we will walk, a little about the residents and how this will help us make connections with our local community, students were asked what they were looking forward to about our adventure. Here are some of their responses:
“I’m excited about seeing the old people because we are going to do fun things.” Skylah.
“I hope that it’s going to be fun. I hope that they are nice. I hope they like us” Mia.
“I am looking forward to seeing new people and making old people friends. Old people are nice and they like kids”. Eli.
Term 4 has been exciting and busy in 1/2 B. We have been working hard to develop our understandings of information report writing. This has seen students busy researching, summarising, and re-wording information to complete their own pieces of writing. We have had a mix of collaborative and independent writing which has seen all our students experience growth.
We have also been busy exploring how our community is important to us. Students are looking at how things have changed over time and were amazed to learn that Mr French had NO IPADS IN HIS CLASSROOM IN KINDER!
As always, thank you all for your continued support as the year continues.
