We have had another action packed last two weeks of school for the end of term.
Last week we were fortunate to attend two performances. Terrapin shared with us ‘The Riddle of Washpool Gully’ which was presented in our hall. The company shared with students how their sets and puppets were created after the performance.
We also went to the Leven Theatre where we not only able to see the wonderful showcase from Ulverstone Secondary College but also were able to watch our own music group perform. They were amazing to watch and they absolutely shone on the stage. Thank you to Mr French for the time and dedication you have given to our students to provide them with the opportunity to be part of the music group. This is a highly valued part of our school.
This week our teachers have been available to meet with families at our Parent Engagement Meetings. Thank you for all families who took time to meet with our child’s teachers and look at their Evidence of Learning. This was our final opportunity to meet with teachers in this way this year. If you missed out on this opportunity please contact your child’s teacher to meet with them at an alternative time.
We held our assembly this week, unfortunately, due to a large amount of sickness, we didn’t have a mid-term assembly so we combined both assemblies. This allowed all classes to present and their celebration of learning was astounding. Mayor, Cheryl Fuller, also presented our school with some wattle trees to plant to celebrate National Wattle Day. We were also able to see our music group perform again, their energy was fabulous.
Our school hosted the Child and Family Learning Centre’s State-wide Day. This was a brilliant opportunity to showcase how amazing our school is and our students presented the hall beautifully with their Blue Gum water colour paintings.
Mem Fox has been in this week to read some of her books to our students and answer some questions they had. Our students were very excited to listen to her read and her presentation was magic.
As we head into the school holidays please make sure that your child has their hat ready for playtime next term. Please also make sure you have time to rest as this has been a very busy term. I look forward to hearing about how you have spent your time during the holiday and look forward to a wonderful fourth term.
In Partnership,

Thank you to all our families for your continued support and communication. I hope you have a restful upcoming two weeks and look forward to seeing our team back together again for term 4.
We have enjoyed meeting and engaging with our Pre-Kinder students this term and we are looking forward to continuing our sessions next term. Pre-Kinder will continue to run on Thursday mornings from 9:10-10:30 with Mrs Haywood. We will be having an information session next term and more information will be provided closer to the date.
